Bears win over Taylor Kennedy

Nick McPhall and Caitlyn Sloat, Reporters   The bears varsity soccer team started off strong in their 1-0 win over Edsel Ford.    The game started off with sophomore forward Bella Kohlstrand scoring a goal against the Thunderbirds in the first half. Neither team scored again in the contest.   “We went in pretty strong, and I think that really helped us in the end,” Kohlstrand said.   The win on Friday brought the Bears up to a 2-7 current record.   “I just hope that we continue to work hard as a team, but also individually,” Kohlstrand said.   They go on to play Lincoln Park on Monday, May 30th.

Emma is a senior and is the Editor-in-Chief. She has been part of the Wy-News for three years. Inside school she is the Head Drum Major of the Wyandotte Marching Chiefs, Vice President of National Honors Society, an officer of Tri-M, and a member of Student Council, Link Crew, jazz band, and science club. Outside of school she is first chair cellist at Dearborn Youth Symphony and a member of Michigan Youth Symphony Orchestra. She also likes to kickbox, babysit, and hang out with friends. “I joined newspaper my sophomore year because I love to get involved with everything the school has to offer. However, has been so much more than just a class. I would truly be a different person if it weren’t for the Wy-News and the people in it.”
